So, this is (or hopefully will be) a story/poem competition where I choose a fairy tale as the week's "theme" so to speak. What you're gonna do is come up with your own original version of whichever tale it is, as long as it doesn't go against Tess' rules and it's actually a remake of the original fairy tale (meaning no stories that have nothing to do with, say, Goldilocks but it's titled as that). OR, if you want, you could also write a story based off a sentence or phrase I put down along with the fairy tale, or if you really wanna be creative, you can do both! It's totally up to you. 
Rules
(be sure to read and follow them!)
1. ALL OF TESS' RULES APPLY.
2. There is no word limit! I'd like your stories to be at least around 400 words, but it's totally fine if you feel like a really really short story, or vice versa. As for the poems, feel free to make them as short or as long as you want! (I mean, they're poems.)
3. BE NICE TO EACH OTHER. I don't want to hear anything about how you should've gotten first place instead of someone else or you were cheated out of something because somebody did something. I will try to be as fair as humanly possible with the stories and the prize distributions! Just because you didn't get first/second/third place doesn't your story isn't awesome; it just means that I couldn't decide where to put your awesomeness.
4. Keep in mind, these are stories and not texts - so I would like to see at least a resemblance of proper grammar. For example, punctuation, quotation marks, spaces, capitalized letters, etc. etc.
5. You can enter up to four stories and/or poems. The number of poems/stories you've submitted doesn't affect the other, so you could do all eight poems and stories! Or if you want you could trade some of your stories for poems and vice versa. However, any more than four stories and four poems will be ignored (kinda. I mean, I'll probably still read them, they just won't be counted as legitimate entries), so keep that in mind!

First place; 16 pets/items(?)/combination of both(?) OR, we can work something out if you want a rarer pet/item as your prize.
Second place; 8 pets/items(?)/combination of both(?) OR slightly more pets if I'm really torn.

If this is already a thing, I will stop posting on it immediately, I don't mean to copy anyone else's work.
Just to let everyone know, I might be entering some of these myself, in which case I'll need a judging partner! I'll ask for other people to judge if and when I decide to enter.
