Here is a question for you guys:

If you've ever bought a used game, did you check what Pokémon they had in the pc before resetting? Me and my SO are trading in our S/M copies soon to GameStop and was thinking about leaving some stuff on it.

What kind of stuff would make you happy to see on a used game?

Yes! I always transfer everything before resetting. I really enjoy finding legendaries you don’t have to find in game (like when I got platinum and I found the legendary bird trio on it. You can get them in game but it’s difficult.) I also just enjoy some fully evolved ‘mons on there. The starter, whatever dragon type is on that game, etc etc.

Yes. I've only done it with a used copy of Emerald I bought though considering it's the only main series game I bought as used. Nothing interesting was on there, unfortunately

Uh, of course. I bought Leaf Green ages ago because I wanted a Mewtwo very badly, and somebody had left their level 76 Charizard on it (which honestly upset me because like, why would you leave your precious starter on there? Why not transfer it too?) So I transferred it and a few other things (including items) via Pal Park before resetting. The copy of HeartGold I got didn't have anything too fantastic, as I'm guessing the person playing just gave up and sold it near the start of their play through, and I was going to transfer the Quilava, Crobat, and a couple other Pokemon they had, but I got impatient since I didn't have my other DS to do so with and just reset it. I can't remember what was on Black or Platinum when I got those, but neither one I could save anything anyway.

Honestly, I don't have a preference of what I'd want to find. I personally would transfer anything I needed for my collective living pokedex and my team, since I keep and cherish every mon I use in a play through.

Going off what you guys have said I think I'm going to leave a mixture of low level stuff and evolved Pokémon. Maybe a legendary or two.

I'm thinking:

* Maybe leave a short message by nicknaming some Pokémon (Hope You Enjoy My Old Game)
* Cosmog to playthrough with
* Low level eevee and all 8 eons (my favorite Pokémon)
* Gen 1 starters first and last stage transferred from red (it'll have the cool gameboy symbol)
* Maybe a shiny caught by SOS chaining
* Maybe a marshadow (I have so many codes XD)
* whatever spare normal legends I have lying around that I don't want
* bunch of Pokémon you can't catch in SM
* harder to get evolutions (sneazle, porygon z, etc.)
* Couple Pokémon around level 50.

Question is it possible to redeem more than one marshadow code without resetting?
Got some extra codes but gave them away and am now a little confused cause normally it shouldn't be possible
