Hey captain awesome, thanks for telling us your opinion! My opinion is still that I probably will quit watching when Daryl dies, BECAUSE for me there won't be a point anymore in watching it. There is always a reason to everything if someone does that.

I'd call myself rather a Daryl fan than a walking dead fan. I'm actually really scared of Zombies and Daryl is taking my nightmares away. He makes me heal in some way so if he dies, my nightmares might come back if I'd keep watching. Maybe I've expressed it a bit dramatically, but I hope you get what I mean, captain.
Calling me stupid for that is actually kind of rude.

but that still is everyone else's decision. you shouldn't judge that. If I'm a fan for the first four seasons then I still am a real fan, doesn't mean if I don't like the next seasons that I'm not a true fan. I accept your opinion, but I still don't agree with you.

It's my opinion that if you cant stick with something then you loose your fan status, especially when you knew what you were getting into when you started watching.

Captain is right though about characters dying. They will all most likely die. It IS a zombie show. I mean, I kind of agree that it's irrational('stupid' isnt the right word) to quit watching the show when a favorite gets killed off, I mean, it's not like some romantic comedy where no one is expected to die. It's an action/horror/sci-fi drama. The shock factor of death is in-existent. The show desensitizes us viewers to slaughter.
Pick a new favorite when one dies. New characters pop up all the time. Some stick around, some dont. Whatever.

I think the "If Daryl dies, we riot" slogan is just a thing tied to the show now. There's merchandise that has that printed on it; I have a cool wristband that says it.
It's funny cause Daryl didnt even exist in the comics. When the writers of the show created him, they expected to kill him off early in Season 2. But fans liked him so much, the writers kept him around for. Honestly, Daryl is on the most merchandise so it seems to me like he's the real money maker character. If they kill him off, the fans wont riot. The Walking Dead creators would just get less money because they wont be selling "if daryl dies we riot" shirts any more.
