The actual story is set a few thousand years back in the dragon world. The book was released between 8 and 9, though.

The other books reference to Darkstalker more than Darkstalker references to them, so you would probably be fine.

Also, my mum finally ordered books 1-7 as well as letting me buy Darkstalker! I'm really excited, though it's kind of annoying because I've read more than half already. I guess I can read it AGAIN!
But I don't know where I can get books 8-10............ any help, maybe?

Books 8-10 could probably be found in bookstores and online~

you can order them online, but they are also pretty prevalent in book stores! usually in the young adult or kid's section. when i ordered darkness of dragons, it came the next day (which was the day it was released lol)
