Unfortunately there were not as many entries as I had hoped. Because of this I have eliminated all but one of the guest artist positions. There will only be 3 permanent winners in no particular order the winners are Deertush, Chosendragon, mei ♚. The guest artist position will be going to Hanji Zoe. I plan on messaging all of you as soon as I can so we can work together on getting these made! Thank you to everyone who entered it really means a lot.


✰ Ｗｈａｔ ｉｓ ａ ＳｔａｒＧａｚｅｒ? ✰

A stargazer is a wolf-like animal, about the size of a border collie. they have thick, reptile like tails for propelling
themselves forward, through their natural habitats. Most StarGazers are found roaming space, but a few can//may
be found, in the darkest, of oceans. At birth, all S.G.'s are given a companion, a small fish, which will float around
inside of their helmet, giving advice or just there as a friend when you need one. If a StarGazer's, own, companion
is killed, they go through a 'Ceremony of Renewal'. They will be presented with a new companion. Companion's life
spans are unique, some will live for thousands of years, some only for a hundred. StarGazers are immortal, though.

For this competition there will be a total of 10 winners. 5 will be permanent artists and 5 will be guest artists.
If given a position, Permanent Artists may make unlimited amounts of stargazers.If given a position, Guest Artists may make
up to 10 stargazers. Permanent artists may have 8 stargazers, 6 of which may be custom made.Guest artists may have 8
stargazers, however only 4 of which may be customs.For this competition I'm only allowing you to make a maximum of
5 entries.If you happen to win you can choose to use your entries as customs or as official adoptables but you don't have
to use them at all if you don't care to. This event will end on January 25th 2015 so please take your time, no rushing.

In the rarity chart(?) it says that tinted glass is uncommon, is this referring to dark helmets or just helmets tinted with color?

Are the Gazer's fur/pelt matching with their home planet? (ex; Rosetta planet = red fur, Violette planet = purple fur, etc.)

Are lighter colored Gazers rarer than darker colored Gazers?

Tinted glass refers to a duel colored helmet, one that has two colors to it, however not all uncommons have to have this. Its just saying if they do that makes them automatically uncommon.

The star gazers fur doesn't have to be the same as the helmet, the helmet color does little more than signify where the stare gazer comes from.

Yes, lighter colors such as white and pale cream would mean the Gazer is rare/ultra rare. But that doesn't mean that a common or uncommon cannot have light colors within its pelt. This refers more to a Gazer who has white as their main coat color.

To simplify;
main coat color: pale = Rare
Main coat color: Dark = common

Secondary color: Dark, does not necessarily make it common
Secondary color: Pale, does not necessarily make it rare.

Also, in the main thread it refers to neon colors, these don't mean just colors in general it means the type of color which may burn your eyes. I didn't want Gazers to have super neon pelts so I included this with the rare/ultra rare hoping artist wouldn't use it.


Examples a palette like this one Has both Dark and light tones. You could use this same palette to make a common and an ultra rare Gazer. If you used the pale color as the main coat colors and then the darker browns as a design element such as spots or lines that would make the Gazer Rare/Ultra rare. If you used the dark colors as the main coat color and used the pale as the design element that would make the Gazer Common/Uncommon. Also Say you use the blue as the helmet color, that wouldn't determine its rarity, it could belong on the rare side or the uncommon side.
