After Link left the Master Sword and Fi in the Sealed Temple . . .
"Fi," the Goddess whispered. "Come out of the sword."
Fi flew out of the Master Sword that was placed in its stone pedestal and listened to the soft voice of the Goddess.
"Go, find the servant of Demise, Demon King. He was not aware of his master's grand scheme and is merely misguided. Go out and find him and help him," the Goddess said.
Fi nodded. "As you wish. I will find him."
Giving the sword that was like a coffin for her one last look, Fi flew out of the Temple and looked out at the Sealed Grounds. She cocked her head, thinking and listening to the chirping of the sparrows in the trees nearby. A smile played at her lips. After Fi's Master Link defeated Demise, the Sealed Grounds were once again peaceful and the whole forest seemed alive. Even the Kikwi that lived in Faron Woods seemed to be more cheerful, Fi could hear their excited hums and chatter coming from the Woods.
Fi was proud of her master. He had brought peace to the land.
"Now where could you be, servant of Demise?" Fi whispered to herself.
She flew to the edge of the pit that spiraled downward and at the bottom was the seal that once held Demise before he was defeated once and for all. Fi drifted down, not really knowing why. Even though Demise wasn't coming back, she wanted to make sure the seal was secure.
Fi lightly touched the seal and bent down to study it. A small sparkle tucked into the shadows a few feet away caught her gaze. Curiously, she went over to it. She let out a small gasp when she saw what it was.
A large dark jagged sword lay, forgotten and alone. It's hilt had a red gem in the center and an upside down Triforce. The sword shone for a few seconds and then went dim again.
Fi bent down and held the sword carefully. Her eyes brimmed with tears. The servant of Demise was trapped in the blade like she was with the Master Sword. It was like a coffin, alive but trapped inside, not experiencing life at all. It was an agony that was she had grown to bear with.
"Servant of Demise, I'm here. I believe in you. I know you can get out of this prison," Fi murmured softly, wiping tears away.
The sword glowed brighter than before but went dim again.
"Come on, you can do it," Fi said. "I know you were used and I know it hurts to be betrayed. But I can help you. We're more similar than you might think, we're both prisoners of blades, servants of whoever wields it. But no one will ever use you again, don't worry. I'll make sure of it."
Suddenly, the sword shone so bright that Fi covered her eyes with her cloak.
When the brilliant light faded, Fi slowly uncovered her face and stared up at the face of the servant of Demise. He stared down at her in shock and then looked around the pit of the Sealed Grounds. He looked up at the pale blue sky and the birds flying by. He twisted to watch them fly away.
"Servant of Demise?" Fi said softly.
He turned to Fi again and a small smile came across his face. "Call me Ghirahim."
Ghirahim helped Fi to her feet and they both stared at each other. Ghirahim beamed at her.
Fi just couldn't help but grin back.
