Ever since the widespread discovery of their existence, humans have hated the "creatures" that they once believed to be nothing but material for their stories. The recent wars between the countries nearly destroyed everything humans need, their technology, cities, almost everything was rubble; the inevitable effects of an all out war, complete with nuclear weaponry. In the chaos the creatures gave up the ruse, using their strength and speed, their powers, and everything they could to rebuild the hell that their country had fallen into, expecting that their assistance would be more important than their being non-human. Who would blame them anyway? Without these beings humans would have died off, so used to their comforts as they were, but it wasn't to be done. Humans don't accept what they can't understand. You were hunted and shunned, despised for being something you couldn't control, running desperately in search of a way out of that hell. The government wanted you alive for their tests, but needed you dead in order to "maintain the security of the country". You risk being killed or captured, never knowing who's a friend and who will turn you over for a quick cash reward, and unable to seek refuge from the others of your kind, people who are just as desperate as you are.
Until the letter came.
You were found and chosen, a recipient of a carefully disguised letter offering you a place at a very special school, a refuge for people like you, a sanctuary that humans didn't know about, a haven called Mythic Dawn. It was like a dream, after being accepted and trusted not to reveal the location you were brought to the campus, a medieval manor or rather, a few of them that seemed to be connected to form a U shape around a stunning courtyard. A garden in the center of that, and high hedges almost like a maze around the building-thickly canvased by trees- that would help keep everyone out of sight if any humans came wandering by. The landscape was full of hills, and there was nothing nearby for miles, so no humans would be coming across even that by accident. It was perfect, right?
Wrong. The school was a ruse, classes were held, dorms were assigned, there were staff and teachers, but none of the students left, at least not by their choice. It was impossible to capture such advanced species by hunting them down, so this place was created to keep in the dangerous "creatures", somewhere you could easily be tracked down and tested on, or killed if it seemed necessary. Many of the students were usually left alone, but the staff only wanted possible puppets they could use later, for the government knew there were worse enemies in dangerous countries than there were in rambunctious "freak" teenagers, and using these "freaks" in war would almost ensure victory. The staff wasted no time in testing their abilities to ruin a "creature's" mind and force them to become part of their army, ready soldiers to attack the weakened countries.
Nobody can be trusted, you are hunted here as much as before, maybe even more so, but now there is nowhere to hide. Students sell each other out in hopes they will be kept safe later, attempts to escape amount in a lot worse than death, and you never know when you're being watched. Cowards sell out anyone they hear discussing things or see doing things that the staff would deem "dangerous", and eagerly tell of these conversations to whoever might help them survive later. Someone you trust could lead you into a dead end situation, making it even easier for you to be caught and dragged off for tests and torture, death, or more commonly both.
Will you survive in torment? Will you be captured? Or will you escape the Mythic Dawn?
Rules
-All of Tess' rules apply, of course.
-Keep it Pg-13 on romance and violence! Or... as close as you can to PG-13 on the violence, no RP is without its graphic battles, at least no action RP.
-Swearing is okay, but the really bad ones have to be bleeped out. (Basically that applies to f***, but be sensitive to other RPers if they don't like swearing!)
-Keep to the character! Don't have them act differently just because you think it would be fun for the plot.
-Don't have those annoying characters who start fights out of nowhere all the time! It gets really annoying for the other RPers.
-Try to get on a lot, and if someone can't, then make sure to clue them in with summaries and help them come in!
-Be nice to other users! Don't start fights over what two characters are doing, no matter how much it annoys you.
-Type at least a paragraph if you can-sometimes there's just no way to fit a lot in, but laziness isn't an excuse-and use correct grammar/punctuation!
-Make sense about injuries and mythical stuff! I'm kind of picky, so ask questions if you don't know a lot about certain species.
-Try to read all the characters forms, at least the ones you can find. There's a reason I put their page number!
-No god modding or power playing!
-No killing other peoples characters without permission, and if a fight starts, try to discuss in OOC who would logically win, that way no arguments will start.
-Put "Elder Scrolls" in blue to show you read the rules!
-Put OOC in either (()) () or OOC: followed by the text. Don't do too much of this!
-Absolutely NO text talk, in either OOC or the RPing! And don't use all caps unless the character is shouting, it's really annoying to read.
-Do NOT RP until you have been accepted!
-If I get annoying with myths, tell me and I'll post a guide on this intro!
-Have as many characters as you can deal with, I won't stop you unless you basically only RP 3 out of like 10, otherwise it's up to you.
-PM me if you have questions or won't be on or anything, I'll try to be helpful!
-Remain active, it's no fun when people don't RP! (If I am hypocritical about this and don't come on myself, I want you all to yell at me for it!)
-Humans are allowed, if they're staff or hunters they shouldn't have powers, but some staff can. If they are students they MUST have powers!
-Romance is encouraged, but it can't happen too quickly! I've known people to develop crushes after a day together, but not 5 minutes!
-Most importantly, nobody escapes yet! Maybe there will be a breakout later, but don't have someone sneak off!
-Sorry I put so many rules. >_<

Romantic interest should be edited once they end up with someone, or if they stop liking a crush! If you want a girl, you need to make a guy too! We have WAY too many girls.xD))
