Fifteen years ago in the Hoenn Region, a boy named Brendan stopped Team Magma and Team Aqua from using the super ancient Pokémon's Primal Reversion, thus saving the world from utter destruction. Maxie and Archie reformed their teams to accomplish their goals to better the world in more peaceful ways. Unfortunately, not all is right with the world. Maxie and Archie's children do not agree with their fathers' reformation, and believe that using the super ancient Pokémon is the only way the world will get better. They each gathered Team Magma and Team Aqua Members who felt the same way, and formed a splinter, Team Eruption and Team Geyser. These two teams have been causing chaos through the Hoenn Region, which has expanded drastically in size. Will you join the fight to stop these two teams?

The Hoenn Region's boundaries are much wider now and have two more large landmasses. The Sorotchi Subregion and the Nohmen Subregion.
The Hoenn League is much more difficult to enter. In order to qualify, you must have eight badges from the Hoenn Mainland, eight badges from the Sorotchi Subregion, and eight badges from the Nohmen Subregion.
There is a new Battle Style, Party Battles, where all six Pokémon from both trainers participate in battle

Personality: Caelan is a laid back guy, and doesn't take his job as Gym Leader seriously, much to his great-grandmother's dismay. However, that all changes when he finds a challenger he sees some worth in. If he thinks you've got what it takes to be the best Trainer in the world, he's not easy to beat.
History: Caelan is the firstborn son of Brendan and Zinnia. As such he was always a talented battler, and could make friends with any Pokémon. When he and his family moves Zakaria City in the Nohmen Subregion, he decided to become a Pokémon trainer like his parents. After he returned home, he became his city's Gym Leader, specializing in his self invented Party Battles.
