Leo spotted Annice in the distance, and broke into a jog to catch up. "Hiya!" He chirped, his New York accent mangling the words slightly. "What's an information broker like you doing out on the streets at this time of day? It's not safe, you know."

Annice blinked, glancing up at him. "I'm only human, I got to eat," she replied, shoving her hands in her pockets and giving a small shrug. "What are you doing here, the streets are crawling with police."

The man chuckled. "Ah, the coppers can't catch me. They've tried, but none have even come close." He glanced around, making sure the police weren't within earshot. "Besides, it's annoying to travel through the backstreets all the time. So dark and dirty."

"Agreed. It is nice to be out in the open every now and again," Annice murmured softly. "Anyhow, since we're talking. Have any important information?" she asked him.

"Perhaps. If I did, it wouldn't be something to discuss on the crowded streets of the Big Apple, would it?" Leo replied cheerfully, giving her his typically crooked grin. "That would be very unprofessional, after all."

"You're right," Annice smiled slightly. "In that case, do you have anything else to talk about. I don't usually have conversations that didn't involve my job."

"I dunno, what do you want to talk about? Look around, is there anything that strikes your fancy?" The man chirped, his grin never faltering. "Pick something, and we'll chat about it."

"Oh, umm..." Annice frowned, looking around. "What about stairs?" she asked. It was the first thing that came to her mind, after all.
