"Don't play dumb, spider" Brin said quietly so as not to be overheard by anyone else. "I know it's you and you know it's me so we can skip your little act." She sighed softly. "Plus I hate being new because I'm always new."

Peter stopped and looked at her. "First I am not Soider man. And I have no clue what you r talking about. I know you ran into me last night. That's it," he pulled his backpack to his side and looked st her .

Brin frowned, wondering if he was serious. Perhaps she'd imagined him using webs earlier in the corridor? It was possible. "I'm Brin Anderson" she said. "And I'm sorry about my attitude last night, I was just in a bad mood." She shrugged and indicated the crutches. "And maybe I should've tried to calm down a little, then perhaps I wouldn't have injired myself."

Peter paused and said "I have to go," he got up as the bell rang. He grabbed his backpack and walked away. "Sh*t," Peter said as he looked at his wrist to where part of his web was at. He pulled it off and threw it to the ground. Only three periods left. He pulled a small wire federation out and changed it to the police station and listen for a couple of minutes. A car chase on 87th. Peter out the radio back in his backpack and started to walk outside, pulling his shirt off .

Brin watched him go before heading to class. She sat through all of the classes, taking notes and actually listening. Even going to school was a risk for her but she'd promised her dad that she would keep up her education.

Peter was to late for the car chase. The guy was already caught. He ran back to school as the final bell rang. He sat outside in a bench . He looked around fir Brin hoping to follow her .

Brin winced as the bell rang and stood up, collecting her stuff. She walked outside and started home.

Peter saw Brin and shook himself off. He followed her then slipped behind a building and changed to his spider man suit. He pulled his mask on and followed her by the roofs of houses.

Brin was nervous when out on her own like this. It made her paranoid. Every so often she would glance around as if expecting some sort of attack. The fact she was on crutches didn't help. They made her feel vulnerable. She made it to her dingy flat and went inside. The place was sparsely furnishef. A small kitchen with a sink, an oven, a fridge and a small counter. The living room consisted of only a set of shelves and a sofa. Hwr bedroom was a small wardrobe and a small bed. She dumped her stuff at the doorway and looked around, having no clue what to do. At this point she would usually go for a run or try to aquire some money but right now that was out of the question.

Peter jumped over to her roof and landed on it soft but tripped and fell. He s hit a web and it stuck to the roof. He slid down off the side, head first and looked in her window.
