Fei winced when he felt a hand on his able shoulder. He looked at Spencer.
"But what if they get you two and i cant do anything...." He sobbed. He needed an answer.

Spencer scoffed "Me? Please, they outta know not to be coming after me when I'm angry" he then smiled, which was very hard for him "You shouldn't worry like that Fei, leave that king of stuff to me. I'm the one who should be looking out for you..." he said quietly "..and Rin." he added.

Fei listened to what he had to say.
"I'm sorry...it's j-just most of the time, im just getting in the way of everything..." He cried.

"Nah kid, your just doing what kids love to do. I can't blame you for that and its my fault that this happened to us in the first place. If i hadn't been angry and said those things to you, you wouldn't have run out of the cave in the first place and.. " he rubbed the back of his neck, "I'm s-s-sorry for um...saying that I didn't care about you. I was just angry and..and" Spencer hung his head in shame, and closed his eyes so he wouldn't cry. "...and I'm sorry." he whispered.

Fei looked at Spencer, slightly shocked.
"Y-You didnt mean it? Really?" He said, a small gleam in his eyes. He hugged Spencer, lightly so it wouldnt hurt him. "Thank you..." He said.

Rin smiled at the scene, it made her happy to see the two comforting the other... or well at least Spencer was comforting Fei, that was good. She stood up, walking away so as not to disturb them, leaving the cave to go find meat. They could not last on fruit forever.

Spencer was stiff as a stick as Fei caught him by surprise. "Um..uh..." he said looking down at Fei. He then relaxed hugging Fei careful not to touch his wounds. "Yeah Fei, I really mean't it" he said with a big sigh of relief that Fei washis one and only friend again.

Fei pulled away and looked up at Spencer with a big smile. He then looked around.
"Wh-Where did Rin go?" He asked, with a shaky voice.

Spencer shrugged. "I dunno" he said looking at the cave entrance. "Maybe she went to...um..uh..look for things she could use to heal your wound faster."

Rin sniffed the air, she was now in her fox form. It was harder to find food but she had headed towards the mountains, away from the location the fight with the scientists had taken place. Her nose picked up a faint trace of rabbit and she began to follow it.
