He knew he'd lost when she shot away. Yet deep down he could muster up the speed and run faster but did he really wont too? He let the distance between her and him grow a little before maintaining a steady pace.

i looked back. link was at a steady pace. i decided to slow down alittle bit but still keep infront of him

He slowed down and approached the houses, he'd lost and he felt a momentary disappointment at losing. He didn't normally lose in a running race. He turned to face Alice. 'Well you won.'

" yes yes i did" i looked around the vampire wasnt anywhere to be seen. i sniffed the air
" he is getting close maybe about an hour or so away" i said looking at link

'That's enough time to get ready.' He said looking at her.

" enough time to get ready for what? and you still need to hold up the beat" i said raising any eyebrow

'My sword and daggers. And to ask aid from the trees.' He said shuffling his feet a little embarrassed at what was to come. 'Yeah I suppose I better honor my word.' He mumbled. He looked up into her eyes and leaned forward kissing her lightly

i went beet red as link leaned and gave me a kiss, i giggled like a little girl

He drew back blushing, a little smile on his face. 'I've only done that to one other person before so feel very privileged.' He said clearing his throat. 'Ah, yeah best be. . Um off.'

"umm... yeah i'll see you later then" i said feeling the blush fade
