anime recommendations?

hey! i really need to figure out a new list of animes i wanna watch since i finished my old one.
i am not really involved in the anime community, so most of the shows i find are just random or based
on a recommendation of some sort

some of the ones i've enjoyed

> Hero Academia (at least the first few seasons)

you should check out mononoke if you like demon/mythos kinda stuff (not princess mononoke, like, the 2d-3d 2007 anime). admittedly there are a few offensive looking character designs as a warning but the plot and execution is really good. i hear mushi-shi is in the same flavor of show but it felt more relaxed (i've only seen a few episodes, never got around to finishing it). also, this rec may be out of left field but check out texhnolyze, i really really enjoyed it and i think it's probably one of the best ones i've seen

hm, ive always seen mononoke on the anime web i watch stuff on, but never actually checked it out.

I'm surprised that every detail i added to my 20+ searches didn't lead to it but "anime girl who digs graves" was what made it recognizable.

I think maybe you'd like Death Parade, Mushishi or Katanagatari:) I also recommend Steins Gate and Noragami if you haven't seen them

absolutely stealing everyone else's recommendations to watch myself
despite being aware of a ton of anime and watching a good handful over the years, I haven't actually watched a ton and I shoulddddd

finally got around to season 1 of tokyo ghoul and a couple eps into season 2 and I really like it so far! I would say it's fairly similar to chainsaw man/jjk with the supernatural themes and the way it will hurt your feelings. I would say the content/violence is similar to that of chainsaw man so if that is something you didn't care for with chainsaw man, I'd be aware of it with tokyo ghoul.

I can also definitely second Mononoke! it has a gorgeous artstyle and I love the way it takes a setting/scenario/character and really dives into it, even though each episode is has a different setup.

School Live! / Gakkou Gurashi! Is absolutely amazing but also incredibly heartbreaking at the same time, you might like it (doesn’t deal with demons though,, rather something else but don’t wanna give spoilers hh)

Also the Oshi no Ko anime came out recently, highly recommend ^^
