Phoenix practically already adopted Rayfa when he was investigationg Inga's little hut thing. He even compared her to his own daughter. And who else was shocked that Amara, a parent in the AA universe, didn't actually die? Wouldn't it have been really neat to have a culprit that was killed so the defense attorney couldn't indict them? I know she wasn't the culprit but having her (AND Ga'ran, maybe?) as the culprit would have made SoJ way more memorable. Having an evil dictator with the face of an angel and is actually regarded as a god? Sounds like Xenoblade's main villain so yes, please.

The Wright Anything Orphanage would be a more accurate name for Phoenix's, quote, law office.

Simon is just a huge weeb because Taka is Japanese for hawk. He's just really bad at naming. I'm not sure what is worse, a hawk named Hawk or a calico cat named Calico Cat. Though Apollo named his cat "Mikeko" which basically combines the words calico (which is 'Mineki' when referring to the cat as calicos are believed to bring wealth to their owners), and cat (neko). So I guess a more literal translation would be Calicat, or Benecat (as the more literal translation of Mineki is Beckoning). At least Apollo put a little twist in naming his animal, unlike SImon who just straight up names his hawk 'Hawk'
