TLDR: NFT groups are a useful tool for trading
my hot take is that not for trade groups are actually a good tool ; hear me out ok - newer players may not have many old pets/many pets full stop, and upadating/perfecting your wishlist can be tedious, so newer players may find it harder to trade, as wishlists may not have many pets they can offer on them. not for trade groups can show off what type/style of pets a person likes, which can help newer players to trade, as they can select pets they think the person will like - i know that you can look at someones pets outside of trading to see them all, but if they are already in the trade, they are unlikely to bother going back to look.
personally, I've found that I've had a lot of trades now where the pets I've been offered aren't wishlist, yet i quite like them, as the person has looked at my NFT groups and tried to find similar pets - it allows me to recieve more trades, which is always nice!
also, many people only trade doubles, but dont lock their normal groups for whatever reason, but only labelled NFT groups are hated on in my experience, when technically it is the same ordeal, although that is slightly nitpicking lol!!
maybe I'm more open to NFT groups because when i trade, i experience the disappointment people say they face when seeing a pet is in an NFT group when i want to trade someone and i see the only pet on their wishlist is my omgsr dog, XD!
