Also, this is about records. If someone has a massive hoard and then goes offline for a couple months, why should someone step in with a smaller record if the large hoard is technically still the record holder?

This is how it worked when I ran it:
1. Is number of hoard pets the same Y/N?
If yes, check post date/last logged in
2. Is post date older than 5 months Y/N?
If yes, put a * next to hoard to pay attention to it.
3. If count of pets and post date/ last logged in does not rise by 6 months of age, delete hoard holder.
So, the first check is "are you working on this hoard?"
If you're not posting or actively working on a record holder, it's pretty safe to say you're not playing the game at all.
It's not fair to those with hoards that are actively working towards holding a record and you haven't been in game for half a year. If its something you care about, it's fine to come back in and reclaim the title. If it's not, then it's not really something you care enough about, is it?
