I don't have my very first rare, but I have this boy. I introduce you to Led Zeppelin, my 2009 rare Tess dragon pound pet
I snagged him seeing he was a dragon and awesome looking, and right after I got him I realised he was a '09 rare ❤ I love this guy to bits and will never trade him! Best pound capture ever!

That guy is also one of Tess's first dragons of that year, I believe. She made about 3 of the Christmas ones for the Advent. Congrats on getting him!

a looong time ago i got this '09 rare
from the pound, at the time i owned
nothing but commons and maybe a
couple uncommons from the current
year and i was so happy <3 unfortunately
i didnt think to keep it so i traded it, and
i dont remember what i traded it for.. heh

That moment when you join Chickensmoothie, have no clue what you are doing, and just adopt one cat because it's your favourite species and you 'don't need more than one'
And that one cat turns into a PPS lion, people go crazy, bingo, a trade including rares.

hallowfall was my first rare/very rare, as i recieved him
about 2 weeks after i joined. i collected halloween pets
at the time, so i entered this giveaway and filled out a
form detailing why i'd like him, and ended up winning -
i didn't realize at the time he was a list pet either. he
used to go in my signature a lot, and i believe i even had
some art of him.

now, even though i no longer hold onto sitting cats, and
i'm not even too interested in his design, i still totally
adore him, likely for nostalgia & attachment

I got this little baby from the pound in February 2012 - about three months after I joined. I remember I picked her just because she was pretty but was so excited when I found out she was a rare c:

My first Rare was a 2010 (or 09) Be Mine? Valentines Rat. I didn't like it too much..
it was pink and a rat, so I traded it away fast, but
I'll never forget ,'em
