I'm sure Portugal and Germany are part of Europe too?

Only word I know in Irish is Éire...yeah. It was on the Jigsaws of the UK and Ireland that I had as kid, so for me it's like a synomyn for Ireland! The Celtic language that I know the most is Welsh, most of it from a trip up to see the uni in Bangor!

I don't know Irish but I wish I did, if only so that I could actually learn the approximately two thousand year old Irish songs a bit easier. Ya know, actually figure out how to pronounce them. I know several Irish and Gaelic songs. They're awesome.
Actually, I suppose I know a couple of words and phrases... Not anything really useful, though...

I would love to learn Irish sometime, as my mother's ancestors were mostly Irish, but right now I have my hands full with German. ^^' There's so much to learning another language; I will never understand how some people can juggle three or four or more languages in their head, although I have heard your second language is hardest/longest to learn.

I couldn't read it but I am part Irish. I do know some Gaelic words though. I do Irish Dance so I love everything Irish!! Except for the weather, I would much rather my country's (Australia) weather.

Dia duit! Conás atá tú? That's one of the few things I can say in gaeilge for now, besides "itheann na cailíní rís" and "táim i cgónaí i dtriobloád", that I don't think make much sense in this context ^^ I've been learning since yesterday with Duolingo and found I enjoyed it very very much! Besides, since I irish dance and my name is (something like, not exactly) Ceilidh, I thought- maybe this is for me c: pronunciation is what I find most difficult at the moment, so if anyone could help me, I'd be very glad. Slán! xx
