Yes! That's actually the most likely scenario. Breeds like blacks and dark greens have a chance to alt (unless you pull them from the cave), but it's pretty low and not determined by whether their parents are alts or not. You'll have to wait for it to hatch to see.

They can be bred anytime, but they won't produce holiday eggs unless it's their holiday and they will refuse or just say they don't get along or whatever that message is that says they won't breed that week if you breed the holidays together like say...now. Course, it still can fail, you just won't get another breed if they do breed :3

Ah! Thanks! I tried breeding it with a Holiday Dragon, but no egg. I'll try Valentines and Heartseeker next. Do you think Heartseeker has a higher chance of a gold egg? I know they aren't picky when it comes to mates.

Honestly, I don't know if some dragons are pickier then others, but I do know that if you have a purple dragon/can grow one up, you can use its ability, fertility, that will up your chances of getting an egg. (I think I'd use that ability on the gold, but its your dragon, not mine)

On the topic of Alt Blacks I've been trying for 2 months to get mine to give me an alt, even snagged a bred one from the AP for new blood to introduce & nadda. I'm going to end up with pages of blacks before I get one!

That's why I haven't even tried yet. I would be aiming for 2nd gen alts, so that's a problem because I realized a long time ago that CBs don't alt.

I was looking through my actions because my scroll abandoned an egg I was trying to breed for that alt try, and IT TURNED INTO A FLIPPING ALT aaagh I'm going to kill myself

What dragon breed is between Paper & Pillow? The shadow just showed up on my encyclopedia but it's not on Wiki either!

Only thing I can come up with is it's the New Valentine release and called 'Pearl" but the shadow is small, like a pygmy
