grant, as the gambler is called, is what some may call "filthy rich." his
family's money, as some would call it, is "dirty." his family's wealth is
not like that of most upper east siders- it's a well-known fact that he
hails from one of the five new york crime families- in other words, his
family is a part of the mafia. while they've had a hand in many doings,
their main focus has become establishing and running casinos. they
ensure it is rigged, but the general public hasn't the slightest idea. it
is at one of these casinos that grant deals, and where he's learned the
tricks of the trade. not only does he know how to rig a game- he knows
how to win. due to this, he's made quite a lot of money himself, going
to other casinos- his heritage makes it easy to coerce bouncers into
letting an underage dude in- and rolling in dough by the end of the night.
given his background, one would be safe in assuming that grant isn't
afraid of a little danger. he probably should've been jailed on many
occasions, but with his connections, it's not even a concern. he's free
to fight, party, and cause trouble as he pleases. and worst of all- his
damn charming smile is ever-present for it all. it's hard to hate the guy,
despite the darkness that surrounds him. he's always in a good mood,
has wit and charisma for days, and the most enticing way of describing
his crazy ideas. he's been a key piece of trouble on the upper east for
quite some time, but many love to fall into trouble right alongside him.
if you're going down, might as well have a good time, right?

i. fair warning: we have a bit of an ass here.
ii. but also, he's actually pretty damn sweet and kind. it's a weird mix. is he a good person? is he not? the world may never know.
iii. likes most people, but doesn't trust anyone. well, maybe like one or two people. he's pretty picky.
iv. if he trusts you, he'd put his life on the line for you. also wants you to stay as far away from his family business as possible.
v. his best friend was killed three years ago after trying to get an in with his family. grant's own father shot him.
vi. contrary to the tortured story one may want, grant isn't fighting against his familial association. he understands that he was born into it, and the only way out is through dying. he also sees some positives to their work.
vii. however, it's because of his affiliation that he's vowed to never be in a serious relationship or have kids. he refuses to drag anyone into it; he knows the damage it can cause. that doesn't mean he doesn't frequently hook up with people, though...
viii. time for happier stuff. he's literally always down for a party. also always down for booze.
ix. he lowkey would love to be in a rock band. like he can play guitar and sing, someone discover him lmao
x. he's well traveled, and tries to participate in as many study abroad programs as he can. traveling is a huge passion of is.
xi. so is writing and videography. on each of his travels, he's made it a point to journal it through pen and video. he's made some dope travel vlogs.
xii. a baseball player, too! he's a pitcher.
xiii. he really just takes well to getting in trouble, like he's a total adrenaline junkie, gets caught up in the moment. and oddly enough, usually the worst results come from his well-meaning plans.

the former leader of silver grace clan and his wife were unable to have any children. it was really a tragic story, seeing as they needed an heir. luckily, one of the leader's sentinels had recently given birth to a little girl. before the little girl was one, her parents died and she was passed off to the leader and his wife. and that's all lydia knows. they told her that one of the other clans killed her parents, but she knows nothing else- not even their names. since before she can remember, the witch grew up under the care of the leader, trained in all of the best ways of practicing magic and serving as a leader. whether it was by sheer luck of the draw or all that training, one would undoubtedly agree that lydia is now incredibly skilled and powerful with her craft. she has the makings of a great leader, but sure as hell wasn't supposed to be in that role yet. the mysterious plague wiped out both of her foster parents, and she found herself thrust into this position. she's certainly trying to be a good leader, and is mostly excelling. she appears to be a gentler leader than generations past, but has a much harsher bite. she's a loyal ally, so long as you deserve it.

i. when it comes to her magic, lydia has an unshakable inclination towards the darker uses of it. she's naturally adept at spells that hurt people or make them feel as if they're going crazy. and when she uses them, it feels great.
ii. she shoves that part down with every ounce of her being. as a way to combat it, she's become adept at healing & comfort spells.
iii. she's always been fond of the stars, planets, and the astrology that comes along with it. she feels most powerful drawing energy from celestial events.
iv. her magic is her primary choice for combat, but she's also well-trained in various forms of martial arts and classic self-defense.
v. she also stands at the ever-so-intimidating height of five foot two, so enemies usually don't expect much from her. surprise, surprise.
vi. lydia has twelve tattoos, many self-given.
vii. she's a gracious leader & kind person, but her walls are always up. she keeps as much distance as possible from everyone, partially out of the desire to keep her strong reputation, partially because she fears that her presence brings death to those she loves.
viii. can switch from sweetheart to badass on a dime. look out, y'all.

her majesty aurora salvatore. never addressed by her first name, an
ever-kind, ever-involved queen. she is the picture of grace, but a face
for hard work. she is rightfully adored by many. or, was.

a loose woman. a hussy. a floosy. an adulteress. this are the names now
linked with her majesty of the kingdom of cieva. a woman of class and
breeding, throwing years of a chivalrous & respectful reputation right
to the streets. in an instant, life as she knew it was shattered, and all
because she had the audacity to fall in love. it was that classic story:
girl meets boy, they fall in love, then their royal duties get in the way
and girl is placed into an arranged marriage with a different boy that
offered more to her family. so, she tried her best to make the marriage
work. when it quickly went south, she began confiding in the best
friend. this turned from confiding to acting on feelings, and before she
knew it, the royal was in far too deep. when her husband caught wind
of her betrayal, it should come as no surprise that he was upset. not
due to an emotional betrayal, but because he knew how her actions
could reflect on him. so, he acted out, and the girl needed to run to
protect her own life. his family has decided she must be put to death,
but has not informed the public of this. instead, they've just released
slander, day after day in the papers, detailing her affair and coming up
with some rather large lies, all to ruin her reputation. and her husband
ends every article with "i just want my beloved home." bull. so now, she
has no choice but to run as far as she can.

let's start with the basics. this is damon porter keller, an eighteen year
old living on the south side but now attending st. jude's academy after
his home school was shut down. back at his school, he started on both
the baseball and basketball teams. his grades weren't stellar, but he
sometimes tried. what takes up most of his free time is not school or
extracurriculars- rather, he's the leader of a gang, the vipers. he has
certainly assisted in making the gang quite notorious on all sides of the
town. damon himself is known for engaging ion drag races, bar fights,
vandalizing, and the works. the gang has become a rather intimidating
and powerful force, often partaking in similar activities or even trying
& succeeding to manipulate and control some big whigs around town.
he's poured much of his time and energy into this group of rag-tag south
siders, making it less of a bunch of troublemakers and more of a family.
and being the leader of that, he would defend any of his south side crew
to the death, if it came to that. he is avidly proud of his place in that
side of town, and will make it known. nevertheless, he does have a certain
broody charm about him, and is known as a playboy just as much as he is
known as a troublemaker. apparently, the two go hand in hand, as damon
has had no issue mingling with south & upper east siders alike in affairs of
the bedroom. he's a well-known name in new york city and a familiar face,
but one might be surprised at how little they actually know about damon.
there's always more to the story, and that's the case with this "south sider."

this wasn't supposed to happen, but it saved her. violet darling, darling being her surname
at birth, was the timid-hearted daughter of an lower-class family in america during the 1910's. she
never expected to amount to much, especially when she became a mother at the age of eighteen
and was abandoned by her family & baby's father. she was living on the streets when she was turned.
this unsanitary living brought her to a hospital against her will, facing death's door. that is when a
doctor offered her a free miracle cure. her offered her a vial of red liquid, which she did not realize
was vampire blood. as she drifted off to sleep, that doctor suffocated her, allowing the vampire blood
in her system to work its magic. she woke up feeling rejuvenated beyond belief. when asked, the
doctor explained how he cured violet and explained what she would have to do next: feed. she did it
after much hesitation, letting her desire overwhelm her. she tried to manage her hunger, but as time
went on, she kept finding herself wanting to feed in bigger quantities, feed on more people. and
trying to take care of her son... every fiber of her new nature screamed to feed from him. it was
because of that violet had to give him away. she dropped him off at the hospital where she had died,
and had not seen him since. she found her way to the legion soon after to learn how to control her
bloodlust, and joining has exposed her to more pain, knowledge, and growth than she ever expected.

- since joining the league, violet has learned the art of physical and emotional warfare, how to manipulate, and how to delegate. it's amazing what losing everything and completely starting over can do to a person.
- she is level-headed, calculating, outwardly cold, guarded, independent, cunning, hot-headed, and mostly serious. in situations like these, however, she's a hell of a good actress.
- since her death, violet has held many careers as a result of missions through the legion, including: flapper, professor, dog walker, stock market analyst, lawyer, and nurse- all under pseudonyms, of course. she has excelled in each position due to her ability to prepare and adapt.
- she is not one to upset. she can be as cool as a cucumber, but is excellent at enacting revenge.
- can't shake her maternal instinct, but couldn't bear to be a mom again.
- constantly wonders if her son ended up okay. biggest regret.
- but plans to never tell anyone ever about him.
- has never fallen in love
- hates who she was as a mortal
- still has a pretty gnarly bloodlust, plans on compelling students at the college to be her blood bags.
