while i won't/can't teach you have to code, i can give you some sites that i use for my own:
i use coolsymbol for most the symbols i use and coolfont for the fonts.
to get gradients, this site is quite useful.
i crop/add transparent to images using this site.
i get my fonts from here.
both of these on site guides are also helpful [x] [x]
