A new species, dubbed the Crested Cieral, has begun to appear after a massive earthquake caused large amounts of multi-colored stones to rise to the surface along fault lines. After collecting large amounts of the egg-shaped gems, scientists began analyzing the stones for information on what they could possibly be. Upon running one of the stones through a cat scan, it was discovered that the stones were actually eggs. The eggs soon began to hatch, revealing small lizard-like creatures. They rapidly began to grow up revealing a wide array of colors and features that were unique for each individual as well as features that all Cierals shared. At first, there was a fear for what dangers this new species would present, but after studying the habits of the Cierals it was determined that they were not a threat to anyone. Cierals are very docile and easily domesticated, but are extremely choosy and will only ever bond to one person. They can also become extremely protective of their owners, and can be dangerous to those who try to harm them. It is also reported that, with an exceptionally strong bond, Cierals can form a psychic bond with their owner which allows for telepathy between the two.
