These are just some sketches of my wolf / wolf-like characters' faces.

All of these are Royal wolves (horse-sized wolves) but for Sapiens.

In fact, Sapiens isn't even a wolf at all. BUT, his face is identical to that of a wolf's. The reason for this is that Sapiens is the god of creatures in my story. I'll draw a full body of him later, but, to simply explain it, Sapiens crafted the first four creatures to look like parts of his own body. Of his face, he made the wolves. Of his antlers, deer. Of his ears, rabbits. And of his wings, hawks. All other animals later to come were from spurs of creative intent.

I really wanted to show the differences in my wolves' faces here. In fact, this pretty much shows why I do NOT like to use pre-made lineart (well, at least one reason I don't like to.) Personally, if I can take any generic lines and make it into my character by changing the colours, I have failed as a creator.

Just a breakdown of the wolves here:

Pine (Frost): The beta of the pack. The largest, and fluffiest Royal wolf within the pack. Is considered very wise and loving. Silver-gray coloured, with a pink nose and green eyes. Has a bad scar on his left shoulder.

Salmon (Belly): The third largest Royal in the pack. Is considered rude and brutal, always antagonizing the alpha and beta. Is dark brown with reddish belly fur. Has pale yellow eyes.

Bane: The alpha of the pack. Is the second largest Royal, but holds his own as leader with his cunning smarts, and brave personality. Falls from a long line of outcast, loner Royals all bearing oddly striped fur, and therefor does not have a second portion of his name, that usually classifies maturity growth within a pack. Has light brown fur with dark stripes. Golden eyes.

Shicki: The smallest Royal in the pack. Shicki, also known as Shroom Spots (Shicki comes from a bad nickname, Shroom Licker), Shicki's lineage holds domestic canine blood, giving reason to his tinier size, as well as his odd domestic colouring. Is considered the most foolish Royal. Has pure white fur, but for large, secluded black spots. Amber eyes.

Smoke (Trail): The second smallest Royal of the pack. Smoke, brother to Shicki, also holds his brother's mixed blood. Is very strong for his short size, and is always determined to keep his klutzy brother safe. His fur is split, black on top, white on the bottom. Has golden eyes.
