I see somehow you have stumbled upon this little thread. I am Mimi, the owner of this species, and the creator. I came up with the full idea of the Perle, but the wonderful line-art was drawn by the amazing artist, Morning Rain. All credit to the lines go to her.
Species info - The Perle
The Perle are a canine type creature that lives deep in the forests of Earth. The are seldom seen, for they are shy creatures, who don't like us "Giants" as they call us, for they are, in fact, no larger than a small pony. They come in many different sub-species, each with a different rarity. But for the main part, they are small wolfish creatures, with extraordinary canine senses, yet they are only found with docked tails. Why this is so, I do not know. They also must have some sort of feline in them, for they can also sheath, or un-sheath their claws, which are sharp. They are like canines and have upright ears, and broad paws, and they also have the dew claw on their forelegs, just like most other wolves or dogs. All Perle, have a necklace of a gem which hangs around their neck, which distinguishes the species from other common, stubby tailed canines. This gem is what gives the Perle their name, as well as their powers. That is another thing of the Perle. Because of their necklace, the Perle will have up to four super-natural powers each. These are powers that either help it in battle, or other stuff. Another thing to note, is they have no pupil. Instead, they have only an iris, but they are not blind. Somehow the iris of the Perle still enables the specie to see, which defies all logic.
As I said before, the Perle has many different sub-species. Here is the list of them.
Multiple tailed Perle - As the name suggests, this is the group of Perle that have more than one tail. This is rare, and seldom seen.
Winged Perle - These are Perle with wings; either demon or angel. These are uncommon, not being seen often, yet they appear more often than the multiple tailed Perle.
Emo Perle - These are Perle that often have lots of scars, piercings and emo hair, and dark colours. These are very rare, and are practically never seen.
'Princess' Perle - Metaphorically speaking. These are the ones that wear lots of bows and other similar items, and seem to be snobby. These are quite common, as a lot of the population of Perle seem to be somewhat snobbish, or like dressing up particularly well.
Now for the meanings of the colours of the gem.
Blue is a water Perle
Orange is a fire Perle
Green is an earth Perle
Purple is a poison Perle
Black is for a darkness Perle
