The war was started long before Felix was born, long ago when the leader was not the savage grey tom. But at the time the war was petty, no cat, nor wolf thinking to take much notice of the fights, not thinking it would break out as a wwar. Time progressed, and the fights grew more vicious soon the wolf pack and cat clan declared war against another. Neither had been able to make a quick raid of the other, until the time when Felix was born. He was the runt of the litter of kittens, and he was picked on by his brothers and sisters. Often he would cower in the corner of the den, as his siblings jeered at him. But he turned into the finest tom anyone had ever seen. His coat was a glossy black, and his eyes a light golden. Soon all the girls were clambering over him, literally head over heels. He had no escape from them. Then came the attack that ruined his life. The wolves launched an unexpected attack, and he lead the defense as lead warrior. He fought well, sinking his teeth into many wolves, but he soon reached death's door. A wolf drove him off his feet, and he landed with a yowl. The wolf closed in, and it sunk it's teeth into the neck of the spitting and clawing Felix. He died soon after. His mother, infuriated, charged at the wolf and raked her claws down his face. After the clan had fought off the attackers, Felix's mother wept at her lost sons side. "Katherine, it'll be alright." The deputy whispered into her ear. "No it won't!" She sobbed. "I've lost my son!" She cried and cried and cried, and the clan left her be. After the period of 3 months, Katherine still wept. Until the day her youngest of her most recent litter ran up to her. "Mom! Felix is ALIVE!" It cried. Katherine jolted upright and raced to her kit. "Are you sure?" She begged, her eyes full of hope. "Yes, I-" It tiny, feeble voice was cut in midsentence as a familiar 'meow' rang from the den door. The she-cat leapt to her paws and race to the front of the den, where vines overhung the ledge on top of the entrance. Katherine nosed them apart, and came face to face with the ghost of Felix, black coat, but with white emotionless eyes that glowed. "Felix has returned." It spoke.
