Name: Kuro
Gender: Male ♂
Age: 18 years old
Tribe: yami tribe
Rank: Alpha
Personality: Kuro is a very dark wolf, and over the years has become criminally insane. Though he is loyal to his pack, he is a hard leader and does not tolerate incompetence. He surrounds himself with the most talented of his pack, his closest companion being Amai-Noroi.
Kuro is full of pride and ambition. He built his tribe from scratch, and molded them all into perfect warriors. He has faith in his new-found moon spirit, and the powers bestowed upon him. He is also a bit stubborn, and has a temper. He uses his fire to calm him down a little, after getting angry, but sometimes loses control.
He feels no remorse for the lives he takes, and some would say he enjoys it. He has a deep hatred for his brother, and desires the whole rival tribe to die. That is no the only thing that interests him, however. He has been told that he will find eternal life in the Blue Forest, and believes it to be within the secrets of the Glowdeer. He will stop at nothing to obtain it.
Main Element: Fire
Brief (or not) History:
"Brother! Brother!" A young Kuro rushes forward, his red wolf mask barely keeping on his head as he searches for Shiro. Finally he catches up to the alpha, and stops to breathe. "Brother... I have found... I have found something... the secret to eternal life!"
"Hush, Kuro. Calm yourself, and walk with me. The forest is beautiful in the winter, isn't it?" The white wolf said, as if he had not heard what Kuro was saying. How could he not be bursting for joy?
"There is no time for such matters! I have run miles to tell you this, will you not listen?!?"
The white wolf sighs. "Very well, what is this you speak of, brother?" Kuro smiles.
"Eternal life! Living forever! I have found that it is here, in this very forest! And that I will find it." He was so proud. Surely this would impress his brother. But Shiro's face was unchanged.
"Who has told you this?"
"...The Exile told me... But haven't you ever wondered why glowdeer live forever? Surely they have the gift.... and somehow we can find out how to get it from them." He says, quieter now but just as intense.
"Kuro, look at me. NO. We will never do anything of the sort. Glowdeer are ancient and majestic creatures, and deserve great respect and dignity. No." The black wolf looks down at his paws, ears folded back and growing hot. How could Shiro not see the urgency and brilliance of this plan? Was it the Exile? Shiro did banish him, but Kuro had always kept in touch. At first he had found the Exile to kill him, but after failing to do so they began to talk, and Kuro even took fighting lessons from the brute. He was a monster, yes, but an idiot? No.
So why did Kuro need to stop? There was truth in the Exile's words, he knew so. Then he got a brilliant, horrible idea. "Yes, sir." He was smiling inside, but outside it was complete and utter defeat. That night, Kuro sneaks away and finds a glowdeer far from the others. With a quick movement he is on top of the deer, standing over it with his paw on it's throat. "What is the secret to living forever?" It's eyes widened with fear, and instead of answering it kicked him off. Kuro was mad at that point, and he retaliated. Everything seemed a blur of movement and noise, but soon he was standing back and the deer was dead, blood pooling around it.
"Kuro. What have you done?" Shiro was behind him in an instant, fur raised and eyes blazing.
"I... He... He wouldn't tell me!" Kuro tried, but it was no use. He was in the wrong, and he knew it. That temper of his! Anxiously he looked to the body for something to justify his actions "L-Look! The blood! It's clear! That must be it! Shiro this is it! I have found eternal life!" He looks to his brother, but all he saw was raw disappointment.
"Kuro... you are making me do this. You are forever banished from the Hakari Tribe and the Blue Forest. Leave, and never return" Shiro shook his head and lowered his voice so only the two could hear. "Forgive me, brother."
"Forgive you? Never! I will never forgive, and never forget! I will hunt you all down and kill you all for this! Mark my words!" A few wolves murmured to themselves, eyes on him. When Kuro walked past, he turned to them and growled, "Do I look like I care what you think?!?" Before leaving he spat on the ground.
The next few days it rained heavily. He made his way unknowingly to the volcano, and climbed the heights until he looked at the lava sloshing within. "Why have you done this? Why have you brought me here? Why did you turn you back on me?!" The lava popped, and smoke rose from it in the shape of a wolf. Kuro could not believe his eyes.
"I have done no such thing. It is you that came here, you that turned your back on the white moon spirit. But you are here now. Feel the fire within the volcano, the stone that holds it together, the lightning in the clouds. Feel me, the dark moon spirit." Kuro could not speak, instead he breathed in the smoke, and closed his eyes. Pain surged through him, like fire and lightning in his veins. When he reopened them, the wolf of smoke slowly vanished, and the rain ceased. Within a few days, he began working. The Yami tribe was born.
