Everyone's favourite magnetic electricity-wielding vampire genius finally gets to visit Hollow Earth. Where he will doubtless be shot within seconds for being: a) a surfacer; b) a vampire; c) his usual obnoxious arrogant megalomaniac charming self. This is my first try at drawing Nikola, and I haven't quite figured out his facial structure yet, and his hair is too tidy here - it doesn't quite have his typical 'I just stuck my finger in a light socket' Tesla look. X3 He's my favourite Sanctuary character, and by far my favourite vampire, so I decided to have a go at drawing him for some Oekaki practice. ^^

The character Nikola Tesla is from the TV show Sanctuary. No specific reference used, but I did watch a lot of Tesla videos (including a few complete episodes, which caused some significant delays in the drawing), particularly this one so far as referencing goes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOx2YOseU7Q No reference on the background - I just got lazy and doodled something vaguely Praxian.

Thanks! :3 I made a few edits to his eyes, hair, ear and jacket, and I'm quite a bit happier with how he looks now, especially the hair. ^^

He's such a great character - he's the main reason I started really watching Sanctuary. :3 I'd seen the first few episodes and kind of liked it but didn't really get into it, and then I saw a clip from Vigilante (I think it was) when Tesla meets Will's female FBI friend and *ahem* misuses his powers, and I was so amused by the thought of Nikola Tesla being a literally magnetic vampire that I started watching the show again and got to love it. ^^
