Hair texture tutorial

Postby Vvildern » Thu Jun 30, 2011 12:11 pm

This is how *I* do hair - human hair, mostly. I will make a fur tutorial later!

SO SORRY FOR MY HANDWRITING. I have a splint on my hand, and it makes it incredibly difficult to write -_-"
If you can't read it, here's what it says, panel-by-panel:

#1 Start with your base color.
#2 Set dodge to size 3, and opacity 255. Be sure it flows with the hair.
#3 Set burn to the same as dodge. Go in the same direction.
#4 Set Lock Alpha, and use blander. Go with the flow!
#5 To make a shiny, use the pencil, with white. Start with a large scribble and slowly smooth out. Add a little dot at the end.
#6 Use the smudge tool. Set the size to 3. Go with the flow!

I hope this helps!!

What would you do to survive? If killing was the only option to live in the world falling apart, filled with infected. To get food, weapons, gear, anything and everything, your hands would be left unclean. What would you do?

There is a little check-box above where the layers are, it says "Lock Alpha". Check that =)

Thanks for this. I still have to practice with this, though.
