"Hello. My name is Hulantroe, and I am the magician of canines. There is one of felines, rodents, and birds, but this story is not about them.
"You see, my dogs, the beautiful, graceful creatures, are in terrible danger. I have been banished to the Underworld, children, and it was very hard to wriggle into talking to you. My dogs cannot survive for much longer without me, which is why I need new, smarter dogs with human minds. I must escape – do you see? – or all canines with leave the world forever.
"So please understand why I am turning this extremely large group of children into dogs."
The majestic wizard in the royal blue robe waved his hand over the now terrified kids, and then was gone.
In his place, dogs stared dumbfounded at the ground.

OUR TWO MAIN HOMES
1 • Mainly, most dogs find there homes in alleys, where they have no roofs over their head but darkness to think in.
Pros ~ safe from human contact or vision, safe from cars, trash-can food is available, darkness to attack an enemy if needed.
Cons ~ No roof, exposed to elements, predators can easily just walk in, humans sometimes throw rocks, noisy.
2 • Occasionally, some strays make their homes behind the human houses.
Pros ~ Patios provide shelter in case of rain, snaw, hail, etc., trash-can food, lots of cats to chase (lol), other dogs and predators tend to stay away.
Cons ~ Possible (likely) human contact or vision, children usually out at almost all times, higher chance of Animal Control catching you, sometimes family dogs . . .
