Today the air sirens were used, as they are every 4th May.

Actually the sirens have nothing to do with that^^ It's just a test run. The first wednesday in May they're being tested, not always on the 4th.

I am an idiot, it is the 5th of May not the 4th that we were liberated, correct?
Still, it's a neat coincidence that they're very close to each other this year.
