Working on a new species XD
This is the time where I wish I could draw legs... This will give you the basic idea of the species though and I'll try and make some better lines soon.
A bit more about the species:
- The main difference between males/ females is of course their horns, but the males are also slightly larger height wise (going by shoulder, not by their horns
- Males are frequently aggressive, especially with other males. They rarely live with others and prefer to be loners unless they are breeding.
- Females are much more social and can be easily found in groups of up to 8. It is rare to find a lone female in the wild (they do fine by themselves if owned by a responsible caretaker)
- Females often share the responsibility of raising young within their group, a young one may have many "babysitters" if mom gets tired.
- Full-grown animals rarely use their front legs unless they are grazing, when they use their front legs to balance themselves while the bend over to eat.
-Young ones are much more dependent on their front legs because their back legs are not yet strong enough for them to balance on. They are also very slow until they are able to stand only on their back legs.
- Females are known to kick very hard to protect their young if the young is not able to get away quick enough
- They are vegetarians, they eat mostly grass and the occasional berry.
So a couple questions:
Would you adopt one of these if I put them up as adoptables?
Any suggestions on how to make them better?
Also, I still need a name for them, any ideas?
Thanks for looking!
Name Ideas:
Cervirex - From Italian Cervi (deer) and T-rex (for the small forelimbs)
