History: Koinu was born in Yamanashi, Japan. He had a sister named Kanashimi, but she died shortly after birth. His father died fighting wolves and his mother died because of hunters, so now he lives with humans, who once traveled to the South Pole with him, but currently still live in his birthtown of Yamanashi.
