felt like designing some pigeons so I made a sorta iridescent breed that would fit into my oc world. I wanted it to be an open species but the groups are doing something weird so I’m not sure that, there are a lot of layers/variations maybe that’s why. I have to toggle the groups on/off a couple times or else it leaves traces of a different group? never had that happen before it’s very strange

I don’t have a name for them yet, but the idea was just to have a common pigeon breed in that world that typically live in ruins, temples, rock caverns, and cliffsides. since the world has long periods of darkness with bioluminescence these pigeons have whiskers and crests that are sensitive to help them navigate dark spaces. the types with the double ear crests or fans are most expressive and are typically seen as pets, along with the ones who have the more extreme foot feathering. color wise they can be anything, and I was thinking a common metallic eyespot sort of pattern on either their crests, chest, or wings would help deter predators. maybe colloquially known as iris birds
