huzzah, new oc reveal - her name is Skunkpaw ! well she's actually techinically not new as I made her around late-2010s for a separate little TNP-esque story that didn't really go anywhere. I was looking through my old sketchbooks & found her & really liked her design -- changed up her design a little but of course she's still skunk-like

I still haven't fleshed her out much but so far she gets introduced when Doepaw becomes a medcat apprentice & gets to meet all the other medcats. They start getting along because I imagine they're the only apprentices & become best friends. Maybe a twinge bit yuriful oohohu i dunno,, god man I really do need to come up with more stuff for her as the only other thing I have in mind is that she starts getting sick of Sparrowclaw's egotism & Doetail defending/making excuses for him & when he instigates a fight between clans she blows up on Doetail & ends their friendship; & the next day Skunk gets threatened & forced to apologize to her by Sparrow { though of course this doesn't really fix anything because it's only been A Day. Sparrowclaw stop trying to do what you think is best for your sister but actually just messing things up further challenge }. Moons pass & while they still aren't friends again they can comfortably chat a little during gatherings, & when Doetail comes over to tell her that she's leaving the clans Skunk truly apologizes & wishes her well on her way

for obvious reasons i gotta give her a full medicine cat name but I haven't decided on one yet.. Skunkstripe ? ? Skunktail would be redundant i think since her friend also has the same suffix, Skunkpetal too because there's already another notable character in the story with the -petal suffix; Skunkflower while nice I think leans too much into the accidental bambi resemblance i created for myself between Doetail & her; Skunkpelt/fur ? solid choice but I still feel like there could be a better one.. Skunkstem maychance.. idk toss me some other suffixes folks or say what you think sounds best

Skunkfern very good idea.. Indeed some prefixes are a bit tricky to find good suffixes for, I was too intrigued by getting to name a cat after a little woodland animal & alas there was another character I became more invested in & his name completely settled in before she got a chance 😔 I may go with Skunkfur or Skunkstem/fern, it feels the most nice-sounding & suitable
