Crystal, the Princess is given the choice to marry one of three noble lions; Snowy, Bracken and Dusty. Bracken and Bramble quickly realise she isn't interested, and they respect her choice meanwhile Dusty is determined. To get away from Dusty the Princess Crystal runs into the woods where Storm saves her from drowning. Storm explains he is the eldest son in a mafia family, and he would be the Mafioso, the heir to a fortune. However, he just wants to be normal. She admires this and falls in love. They spend all their time together but there is a war going on and Crystal has to be absent more and more often to deliver speeches and appear with Dusty.

Storm asks Crystal if he will ever be able to put him first, and while intially denying the accusations she eventually admits;she has been putting her duties before she puts him. They break up, and only a week or so after Crystal is forced to marry Dusty. Seeing Crystal has moved on so quickly makes Storm feel like he was just a silly obsession of Crystal, and so he hangs himself.
