The case study of hands

Postby Vazchu » Wed Mar 19, 2025 12:53 am

I'm home from work today due to an emergency visit to the vet with my beloved little boy. Thus before the long roadtrip I decided to distract myself with what I hate the most in order not to worry too much and imagine worst-case-scenarios.

Hands. They're horrific but the only way to learn - is to study and practice. Maybe someday I may have learned how to draw them.

If someone has/knows any good tutorials they believe is good and helpful to learn how to draw hands, please do post them below. <3 :D

You know how it haunts you,
hunts you in the fog
- a mere shadow of the past.
You move onwards to the great unknown,
yet it never slips your mind
- the things you thought would last.

An eternity in the dark.

:3 This looks so good! There's something about hands that come to a slight point that feels elegant to me.

I've found that there are a number of art tutorials in places like tumblr. Searching 'hand art tutorial' gave a bunch. But one of the suggestions I thought interesting was to watch Gordan Ramsey videos and pause it every bit or so to sketch his hands. Because they're doing something, and hands one draws are likely to be doing something. Another I found is an artist on twitter/X, but since I'm not on that platform I google 'hand art tutorial takuya kakikata' and look at the images. There are quite a few that seem very helpful to me. ^_^
