Welcome to the grand re-goopening (re-opening) of goobies! We’ve been hard at work during our hiatus for the past few months and we’re back with new systems, new mechanics, new NPCs, and new lines! For an in-depth recap of what’s been added, please join the discord and read the goosletter! This month's goosletter is also available in the goosroom for those who are not in the discord. To celebrate the re-goopening, we’re holding a flash MYO event that everyone can participate in! And now, to answer some questions you might have:


What is a goobie?

• Goobies are a closed species here on CS! They are strange creatures from outer space made of goo that can take on almost any form. They landed on gooearth hundreds of years ago and have now made it their home. For species info, please visit the main goobies page!
  
  Do I have to be a part of goobies to participate?
  
• There’s no sign-up or registration necessary to become a part of goobies! You’re free to enter for any adopt, join the discord, or create MYOs.
  
  How long does this event last?
• The window to make your MYO(s) will last 1 month. You have until Sunday, December 8th at 11:59 EST to create and post your goobies for approval
  
  What do I get as part of this event?
• Everyone is allowed to create 1 MYO with unlimited g1 traits. If you join the goobies discord (or if you’re already a part of it), you get an additional MYO with unlimited g1 traits. If you have trait items in your goobies bank, you can also add those items to your MYO(s).
  
• As an extra bonus, for the first week of the event (November 9th-16th), our amazing artists will be creating some special adopts that have a higher frequency of rarer traits!
  
  What are g1 traits?
• Traits are separated into different categories by rarity + which subspecies (fraction) of goobie can use them. The “g” categories of traits can be used by either agel or diab goobies. Click here for the complete list of all goobie traits, which includes images. The full list of g1 traits is as follows:
  
  • fur
  • hair
  • backmane
  • weight (chubby / skinny)
  • pupil shape
  • pawpad shape
  • tongue shape
  • sparkly
  • drop the disguise
  • alienfy
    
    There are also several non-rarity edits that can be added to your goobie for free at any time. These are:
  • expression
  • scars/missing limbs
  • tattoos (for large tattoos: have a separate, untattooed reference for the nursery!)
  • eye style
  • accessories
  • gloss/gooey style of membrane
  • shading/highlighting

Are we allowed to add glow a d wings/halos?

Thanks so much for the question! There are two types of goobies: agel and diab. Agel goobies have halos and wings made out of goo, while diabs have horns and tails made out of goo! So yes, if you decide to make an agel goobie (which will be marked in the layer files) the wings and halo are included for free! However, the glowing effect is a trait called g2 bioluminescence, which isn't available for free this particular event. It is still possible to do, though, as some people might be willing to trade their trait items for pets or C$! The item that adds g2 bioluminescence (glow) is called a broken glowstick!
