Carpathian Mastiffs are very large guardian dogs, originating from intricate mountain systems extending southeastward from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, all the way into Romania. They are bred to work, and nothing pleases this breed more than carrying out and fulfilling tasks. Although they do make great companions, they require a strenuous amount of exercise and mental stimulation to prevent imminent boredom. Suffering from few health issues, this newer breed is a popular choice amongst enthusiasts due to their genes as well as personality.
