The Sun Worshipers, a sentient species within Nova Terra
- much like the dao in WBound, they have language and customs
- also like the dao they're a direct result of the human's genetic tampering research
- before the humans fled the planet the Lumothera were small, significantly smaller than the dao, the feline equivalent to their "dogs"
- however, afterwards, by the time the events in WBound take place the Lumothera vastly outsize the dao on average
- they have a union of sorts with the dragons and as a result their species oft exhibit characteristics similar to them
- most can see the energy flow and inter-working forces within the space around them
- while they don't manifest individual gifts in the same way at the dao, their species as a whole has an air of magick around them
- they don't have breeds in the same way as the dao
- rather they have distinct body types/shapes influenced by their chosen place of settlement
- each can see in the dark/dusk, in fact they can see far better than any other on the planet can, darkness often so negligent they live in a sort of permanent daylight unless they go underground where the only source of light is the bioluminescent mosses and grasses
- they worship not just the Suns, but the Moons, and Stars as well, divided into three factions based on their primary worship
- common misconception that they worship only the sun, but what are stars but distant suns? and what is the light of the moon but the reflection of the sun?
- the Moon are most active at night, drawing their strength in stealth and prophetic visions. They are dreamers, the silent guard, able to cloak themselves in shadow to be indistinguishable from their environment at will. They fade from sight, and mind, unless directly perceived. Inspired by the moon, their mages study the reflective properties of energy
- the Sun are most active during the day, drawing their strength in endurance and speed. They're fleet footed and strong, capable warriors of legend. They're bold, and daring, but also healers with a diverse knowledge of the world around them. They keep the peace, and history, archiving any and all occurrences of fate no matter how obvious events may or may not be. Inspired by the sun, their mages study the thermal properties of energy
- the Stars are most active in the softness of dusk and dawn, they draw their strength in character and gilded words, to listen to them is to fall into a pleasant sort of madness. Beware the stars for they speak in roundabout ways, their meaning is not always clear but always important. They may not lie but they twist the truth as if they do, any words of wisdom they deign to part upon you should never go unheeded but be wary of the intent behind them. Inspired by the stars, their mages study the spacial properties of energy
