the woods are particularly dark tonight...
you walk and walk, but there seems to be no end to the ocean of dark trees, looming above you, seemingly trying to grasp you with their gnarly old branches. the only light source you have is the full moon that barely helps, since most of its cool rays of light are being swallowed whole by the thick canopy of leaves and pines. after what feel like hours of walking in near pitch blackness, there is finally a light! it is very faint and appears to be completely red, but hey, it's better than to keep wandering in total darkness... right?
a couple of minutes pass by as you keep wandering on towards the new light source. it seems as though the closer you get, the more difficult the terrain becomes. where there was slightly bumpy ground before, the ground is now covered in thick underbrush and roots - you really have to be careful not to fall! though, luckily it isn't take long before you reach the source of the light and the ground goes back to normal. what you see at your destination though, is anything but normal!
the red glow you were so happily wandering towards appears to be a ritual circle of some sort. it emmits a deep humming sound and appears to be sparking with electricity. in front of the circle stands a kalon, completely red and black with two great horns on their head. before you can change your mind,you have already been spotted! now there's no going back anymore...
- "well well, what do we have here, another lost soul? oh don't worry, I won't harm you, you're rather lucky to have stumbled upon me! I am pentra and what you see here is a summoning circle. what does it summon? well, it summons companions for poor lost souls such as you so they can guide you out if this cursed forest. there have been many before you who got lost in here and since I have the resources and nothing better to do, I thought I might as well help y'all out. though, my help doesn't come for free, of course! now, what do you say? wanna take a look at the options I have for you or wanna keep on wandering around aimlessly? it's up to you."

how to summon a companion
- companions are custom made OCs that are only available during Halloween. there are multiple factors to keep in mind when summoning one with pentra's help!
species;; companions can come in almost any shapes and formes, though they are exclusively feral animals and canine or dragon hybrids. the other animals mixed in are determined by what materials you are using during the ritual!
element;; when summoning a companion, an ingredient is used to determine its element. this helps shape them into what they are when they emerge from the summoning circle! the available elements are as follows: fire, water, earth, ice, wind, light, shadow, poison, electricity, galactic.
material;; to give a companion the matter it needs to form in this world, an object has to be sacrificed. this object alters the appearance of the companion, so make sure you don't sacrifice something weird or the results may be... questionable.
