Ok, I think I'm calling these kirunae *kiruna singular), but if you have a name you really think I should use, post it please! ^^ (THank you Wolf-chan for suggesting kiruna!)THE KIRUNA:
Being an omnivore, the kiruna has both grinding teeth and tearing teeth. However, its lower jaw, instead of having many teeth, has a single, long, ridge-like tooth. Its upper jaw has "normal" teeth. It has a sensitive tongue and sense of smell, as well as being an excellent hearer. Its large, long, triangular ears are usually held pointed backwards, but can be moved in most directions and separately. The eyes are triangular and expressive, with round pupils. The kiruna's face slopes gently, but has no defined stop, and the snout is very sharp. The neck leads down to a fairly deep chest, which then tucks smoothly into a slim waist. The lower back is slightly rounded, seeing as the hind legs are a bit longer than the front. The front legs are very thin and very flexible. There is a knee joint low in the leg that can bend either forward or backward. On the back of the smaller joint below the knee is a small sharp claw, which is used mostly for fighting. The hind legs are also quite slim and flexible, but they are very strong. They give the kiruna the ability to jump high, run fast, and be agile. The back legs have a knee joint as well, called a hock, and another joint at the ankle. All four legs lead to a small triangular hoof. The kiruna's hooves are tiny, but extremely hard and durable. They have only one major blood vessel in each, so cannot easily be bruised.
The kiruna has a high-set tail similar to a horse's. It has a thin tail with about 6 vertebrae (on average, in the wild kiruna), with long thick hairs the extend from it. It's usually carried low or straight out, but is also used for communication and showing off to find a mate.
