Xey act as a guardian to the forests that give strength to the (unnamed 2000, magic based, esmeralda/dizzy hometown) kingdom and keeps it safe - it makes Uvas role an incredibly delicate one, where some want xem vanquished so they can destroy the kingdom, and others who want to control xem completely to "ensure" xey "do the job right". considering xey've been alive and doing this for almost sixteen centuries in different places across the lands, xey arent as bothered by either side as most people think xey should be.

tri-annually xey gather together guardians from across lands for a renewal "festival" which opens to the kingdoms public on its last day, and is protected by forest magic to ensure no malevolent forces can interfere. the twisting forest transforms from the forest it is, to a bright flowering and fruit-bursting woods, teeming with life and blurring the lines between the mundane world and magical temporarily. once the festival ends the forest becomes once again unable to be navigated and downright dangerous to stay in if you divert from the main path. Uva thinks this is very handy and is one of the only beings who can traverse comfortably and confidently.

Haro on the other hand is an angry little creature who will lead you off the path, spit in your face, and eat you after
