Been thinking of this guy recently, a character from a dream a few years back
There were three of them, purple, orange, and dark blue all with flaming manes and tails. They were known as the Horses of Death. They were sorta like grim reapers but they had no say over who died or not and didn't do a lot leading of souls to the next life. They just sorta stood as premonitions of death. If you saw them you could bet on something bad happening soon, either globally like a pandemic, (which is what happened in the dream) or personally like getting a phone call telling you that a loved one passed. They had a real' intricate sorta mythology surrounding them but in interest on not boring anyone too terribly I'll end the explanation there.
