This guy deserved a bit more effort in his art.

-A ghost? An alien? An Aa!A1@22?Aa?
-His shadow is sentient.
-He never is seen without his lantern, otherwise his shadow wouldn't exist. And what is he without it?
-they are both mute, aren't seen to use sign language. they just stand there, menacingly
-Cryptid cowboy who probably talks by sending foreign emotions into your brain but life just be like that

Finally gave him a proper drawing and decided to post it here with a description of him cus I love him

he is a ghost, he will appear to people under very certain circumstances: they must be alone, In a North American desert or prairie, without any working electronics, and at least 20 miles away from the nearest car or town. At which point he will wave a person over, take a few steps and look back at them, waiting. He will only move again if someone follows him, but will vanish if the person ends up walking away. He will also vanish without warning if someone tries to grab or extinguish his lantern
Upon following him he will lead the person seemingly at random through the desert. he will help find food, water, and shelter for them and himself without ever saying a word. He will never guide a person to civilization, but usually, just wanders around with his new companion and effectively get them more lost.
he is not a malicious spirit, just a lonely one who invites you on a journey without a destination. Many who met him usually misinterpret him to be a "spirit who guides lost souls" turned mischievous and/or cruel.
