my friend really wanted me to show em how i shade skin, so i drew a really bad sketch sadgbilusdrhfilgh
i basically do all of it on the same layer, i blot down where i want the shadows to be and highlight where i want the light to come from, then using the watercolor tool, i select the base skin color and start going for it. its a pretty fast method to shading that i really like even though its pretty simple :')
