i. aegeus : meaning 'protector' ii. male : he/him iii. human wizard : protector/and pilgrim iv. unknown birthdate : doesn't age v. companion(s) : a black mamba snake that's usually wrapped around his arm, named moris vi. lone wizard, no community because he's always travelling vii. heterosexual viii. aegeus, or 'gus' is fairly stubborn. he doesn't enjoy being messed around with, and he's easily annoyed. he's quite the introvert, but if you're close enough with him, he'll talk your ear off. he's very closed off and he mainly keeps to himself. he's very observant and he's good at reading people, even when they aren't aware of it. ix. aegeus is a strong wizard, and he's so strong that he's able to contain his magical abilities in the heart of his staff. if his staff is ever missing, he's able to use some staffless magic when he isn't under too much stress. he doesn't get along with regular humans well, finding them rude-he keeps to himself and he doesn't exactly like calling himself 'human'. humans do not interest him. x. aegeus is a protector, and a pilgrim. meaning he's always travelling, and despite not liking humans, he still vows to protect them from the dark magic that runs the world. he has never failed at protecting those around him, and even though, he doesn't like getting close to people because there's still a chance they could get hurt by the dark magic. he's paranoid-after losing his only sibling to dark magic, and since, he's become the 'protector of the people' as most would say. xi. he doesn't truly 'hate' humans, obviously-he just doesn't fully trust them, and he doesn't want to be hurt by them. xii. some things he usually says are "i hate this place", "all humans are the same", and most of all: "i don't like you, but i've got your back". weird phrases, right? xiii. aegeus grew up with his mother, and his little sibling: artemis. the two siblings would always go on adventures and cause mischeif through the village. magic ran in the family, so pulling pranks was always taken to another level with them. one evening, his little sibling used magic in front of humans. at the time, aegeus was very young, yet he still remembers the scene so vividly. the humans were feared by the magic-it went against their own beliefs, and they ended up starting a mob. quite literally, with torches and pitchforks, and signs to 'conceal the devil' within the wizard child-they overpowered aegeus and his sibling. his mother was unaware of it all, having had travelled for more herbs, they were alone with nobody to count on. that day, the humans tied his sibling to a post in front of the 'forbidden forest' that shadowed the outskirts of the village. gus was beyond scared, and he was held by another family so he wouldn't 'obtain' his siblings powers. even though he'd already had them. long story short, the dark magic wizards supposedly kidnapped the boy. and ever since, aegeus has kept his magical abilities a seceret. nonetheless, he still protects humans from the dark magic users, so they don't end up being kidnapped as his brother was. his mother, that day, passed away from greif. so, he was officially alone. aegeus gave up on humanity at that point, and though he hated humans-his sibling loved them, so he vowed to protect them until his sibling returned. whenever that may be. likes. gus likes to be alone. he enjoys the company of himself, his snake, and his books. but whenever trouble stirrs, his snake-'moris'- has the ability to sense it : which is why he's a pilgrim-always travelling from one place to another to resolve the troubles. he enjoys being awake at night time, he rarely sleeps in a single day-because during the day he travels. he doesn't mind, because he's aware of energy restoring spells. dislikes. he doesn't enjoy the company of harsh people-anybody that ticks his snake-ticks him too. 'moris' is never wrong. he also doesn't like the heat too much, always travelling-he's come to the conclusion that the dessert is his least favourite place to travel across. trivia. favourite song : experience, by ludovico. ever since he's travelled to the kingdom of his lands, and heard the pianist playing this song within the castle-he's become obsessed with it. favourite food : he really likes pears, and he truly enjoys pasta. he often makes his own pasta whenever given the time and chance. favourite hobby : woodcarving. he often carves wood scupltures of mythical animals from his novels-and leaves them around the villages he's visited, sort of like a 'signature'. favourite spot : any shady area's, libraries, or ponds with lilypads-he just loves them. favourite animal : if he didn't say 'snake', moris would be upset. though hounds come to a second favourite. favourite colour : he really likes blue-any shade. favourite place he's travelled : a village on the coastline of europe-it was absoloutely beautiful-and that's where he befriended moris when he was younger.
