This sounds like an awesome idea!

So many ideas as well...

Seal x fennec fox
Blue angel (sea slug) x some kind of bird? (Flipper thingie of the slug would be such pretty wings)
Thorny lizard x a male lion (spikey mane!)

Then just some random animals to give some inspo
Kangaroo
Bear
Moth
Orca
Ant
Eel
