I don't frequent the Oekaki forums, use the ChickenPaint program often, or draw digitally. I used my laptop's trackpad for this piece. Rats are my favorite species on ChickenSmoothie. The rat isn't intended to be anything else but a symbol of my contributions to this discussion as an outsider.
I understand the Oekaki rules and how important it is for the moderators to do their jobs effectively; it would be harder to moderate artwork for rule-breaking activity if Oekaki drawings were being used as covers for non-Oekaki artwork. I can also see how upsetting this would be for artists who don't like the ChickenPaint program, have few options of popular places to post their art, and lament at the desert that is the non-Oekaki art forums.
I am all for effective moderation that collaborates with the community. I am in favor of revitalizing the non-Oekaki forums to be a place where people can post their own art made in separate programs. I hope that this will make Oekaki forum moderation easier and will be a plausible solution for all parties involved.
Have a great day!
