its my 1st year but my bf says its ALWAYS been an awful website + is always slow buggy and nonfunctional for like a day or two after it begins

yeah the site is always like this for the first day or so :( everyone's excited! the site isn't ran by a big team with a lot of money so it's not like they can get super fast servers or anything and now there are a bunch of people on the site, constantly refreshing, trying to get sorted, submitting attacks, submitting characters, signing up... it'll put a strain on the site for sure. it'll probably run better later in the night as people give up, go to sleep, etc. and then slow down again in the morning until the initial hype chills out. admittedly last year i don't remember it being this bad though

Oh yeah this is extremely predictable, hazii said it v well. It also gets better later in the month so making a hit list is a p good idea actually

Its definitely bad in a different way this year, i remember way more gateway timeouts last year lol. probably cause everyone is stuck at home aaa
