@anyone who's ever had their dark hair dyed a fun, bright color
what was the process to getting your hair dyed? did you get it done professionally?
how long did it take, what color did you choose, how long did it last? thank u

Alright soo to get baby pink I had to bleach first and then do pink, but it only lasted a week or two. ): Pink doesn't stay very well, you have to touch it up pretty often. My grandmother is a hairstylist so she was able to help me bleach and dye it.

I will say if you want a vibrant colour WITHOUT bleaching, I've had awesome luck with dog dye. I know that sounds ridiculous lol but I've been a guinea pig for a groomer I worked with for a while. Opaws and Crazy Liberty are awesome for vibrant colours even on dark hair. The purple Crazy Liberty I used was the only colour I've ever had stay until I cut it out. (And I've always used permanent dyes.)

I wash my hair once every 2-3 days, sometimes up to 4 days between washes because mine doesn't get oily too often. Colour may also stay more with shampoo that is marketed to make colour stay - I just have to use prescription shampoo so can't test that myself.
My teal & purple have stayed the longest! Anything that isn't super pastel/bright will stay pretty long. I did my teal over base hair / no bleach and it lasted for six months, I want to say. That was done with Splat brand.
